Blood Donation Drive
Every year to mark Mudita’s Foundation Day on December 3rd, a blood donation drive is organized in collaboration with Akshay Blood Bank.
Beginning 2022, Mudita has also started conducting the blood drive at corporate offices allowing employees to be part of the drive. There was an excellent turn out with over 100 eligible donors.
Meet & Greet of Cancer Survivors and Families
In April 2022, Mudita organized a meet & greet with patients supported by the Mudita Medical Program along with their families as well as our LKT partner Robin Singh and consultant oncologist Dr Shriram Inamdar. The event was a tremendous success, bringing all
of us closer together as one large Mudita family.
Meet & Greet of Mudita Scholars
In December 2022, we brought together all students supported by Mudita so far, our Mudita Scholars. Many of these students had been awarded the scholarships during the covid-years and hence it was the first time we were able to interact in person. Our scholars were able to interact with their peers, get advise and listen to their experiences and enjoy an informal interaction with all present.
Mudita also announced the launch of the ‘Spoken English’ Program for all Mudita Scholars at the Meet & Greet.
Tata Mumbai Marathon
The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2023 was back after a gap of 3 years. TMM is among the top 10 marathons globally with over 50,000 participants every year.
Mudita – An Alliance for Giving was registered as one of the charity partners for this prestigious event. Runners were able to register for the marathon through us. We also had many who raised funds for Mudita through the TMM platform.
Funds raised through the Tata Mumbai Marathon have been ear marked towards Mudita’s Medical Program. These funds will support our pediatric oncology patients as well as the cataract surgeries for patients from under privileged backgrounds.
Charity Auction for Bollywood Movie English Vinglish
The 2012-movie English-Vinglish, touched all of our hearts when it was released. Inspired by director Gauri Shinde’s mother, Shashi is a home-based entrepreneur who grows into herself, over the duration of the movie. Shashi’s story was our story and one resonated strongly with each of us.
Commemorating the 10 th year of the release of the movie, Gauri decided to auction the gorgeous saris from the English-Vinglish collection to raise money for girl’s education.
Mudita has been selected as the charity partner for this fabulous event. We are over the moon to be associated with this movie and moreover to be selected as the charity partners for the proceeds of the auction.
Nirmayan Pro Am Golf Tournament 2022
The Nirmayan Pro Am Golf Tournament conceptualized by Pro-golfer Rajiv Datar is a one-of-its-kind event in India. The tournament brings together the best golfing talent in the country to raise money for a cause. Mudita was one of the giving partners selected by Rajiv Datar for Nirmayan 2022.
The tournament teed off on the early morning of April 2, 2022 and was supported by Bridgestone as the title sponsor along with several other corporates who were individual team sponsors. It was indeed heartening to see the players as well as the sponsors come together in such a magnanimous manner to support the charities.
Proceeds received from the tournament will go towards our Mudita Education Scholarship fund providing a better future to many more youth who are determined to overcome their circumstances and become changemakers.
